present tense


We will study about other tense,that text is present tense Present tense is simple form which used to express situation going in to effect.
simple present tense is used for :
• express habits,general truths,repeated actions or unchanging situations,emotions and wishes
• give instructions or directions
• to express arrangement


 adverb of time ::
• always
• never
• every
• often
• seldom
• usually
• sometimes

The pattern : (using verbs) = verbal sentence
(+) subject + verb 1 + object
(- ) subject + do/does + verb 1 + object
(?) do/does + subject + verb 1 + object
Example :
(+) He goes to school every morning
(-) he does not go to school every morning
(?) does he go to school every morning

The pattern :( using To Be )
(+) subject + Tobe (am,is,are) + complement
(- ) subject + Tobe (am,is,are) + not + complement
(?) Tobe (am,is,are) + subject + complement
Example ;
(+) you can come to my house
(-) you can not come to my house
(?) can you come to my house?

For the third person ( he , she , it )
Verb ending in –y , changes to –ies
• Fly = flies
• Cry = cries
Exception :
If there is a vowel before the –y
• Play = plays
• Pray = prays
Add –es to verbs ending in , -ss , -x , -sh , -ch
• Pass = passes
• Catch = catches
